Successful business management requires leadership, communication and organisational skills. Frontline managers need to manage their own performance as well as guiding the performance of their employees or their team members.
Who is this course for?
This accredited course has been designed for workers in team leader, supervisory, front desk or line management positions. At this level frontline managers provide leadership and guidance to others and take responsibilty for the effective functioning and performance of the team and its work outcomes. Participants will also develop coaching skills and implement continuous improvment procedures.
The qualification reflects the role of individuals who take the first line of management in a wide range of organisational and industry contexts. People who choose this course and qualification may have existing qualifications and technical skills in any given vocation or profession, yet require skills or recognition in supervisory functions.
The Course Content
There are 10 key learning areas (units of competency) which may be delivered face-to-face or alternatively in a blended format (face-to-face and e-learning) both of which will include written assessments and workplace assessments:

- BSBMGT402A Implement operational plan
- BSBINM401A Implement workplace information system
- BSBWOR402A Promote team effectiveness
- BSBINN301A Promote innovation in a team environment
- BSBMGT401A Show leadership in the workplace
- BSBPMG510A Manage projects
- BSBWOR404A Develop work priorities
On successful completion of all 10 units, participants will receive the nationally recognised qualification BSB40807 Certificate IV in Frontline Management.
