About
The University of Western Sydney (UWS) licenses UWSCollege as its agent, to manage and teach its Academic programs. Students undertaking the Diploma in Engineering are UWS students.
This Diploma is intended to prepare students for tertiary study in Engineering. It specifically addresses important prerequisite knowledge in the areas of Mathematics and Physics.
The first year undergraduate content of this Diploma is taught over three semesters or two semesters as a fast track alternative, to enhance and facilitate student learning.- Tertiary Study Skills*

Successful* completion of Australian Year 12 or equivalent or UWSCollege University Foundation Studies or equivalent, with a Grade Point Average of 6.0 or higher to enter the 2 semester course, (GPA of 5.5 or higher to enter the 3 semester course). Students are also assumed to have completed study in Mathematics at Senior High School Level or to have gained a ‘C’ grade at Foundation Level Mathematics at UWSCollege.
* Successful completion means gaining a 50% pass in all required subjects.
For students who have completed their HSC: UAI/ATAR entry requirements to enter this course are:
- Three Semester: UAI > 50 (indicative) ATAR > 52 (indicative)
- Two Semester: UAI/ATAR > 55 (indicative)
